Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

Explore Miami Beach LLC operates the Explore Miami Beach app and website. This policy explains how the guide handles information when you browse listings, use maps, save places, or ask the MB Guide for recommendations.

Information on your device

Saved places, saved events, itinerary entries, journal entries, and privacy choices are stored locally in the app or browser. The app does not require an account. Journal photos are selected or captured only when you use those features. Your saved places and journal are not included in the AI page context. Device backups may include app data according to your device settings.

Location

With your device's permission, the app uses location to find nearby places and center maps. You can deny or revoke location permission and continue browsing. If location is unavailable or outside Miami-Dade County, the guide uses a central Miami Beach location. Cloud AI receives your device coordinates only if you separately enable location sharing in AI privacy settings; otherwise it receives the Miami Beach default. Map tile requests reveal the map area being viewed and your network IP address to the tile provider.

Optional cloud AI

Before using cloud AI, you choose whether to allow it. Cloud AI sends your messages, conversation context, current public page URL and title, selected listing, category, search/filter information, relevant public guide listings, language, and local time to Osirus and its configured model provider. If you separately allow location sharing, it also sends device coordinates. Requests include standard connection information such as an IP address. Osirus may retain conversations and process them with its configured provider. Its privacy policy explains service delivery, safety and quality processing, retention, and provider disclosures. Retention and model-improvement practices depend on the service and provider settings; we do not promise that chats are never stored or used for improvement. Do not send passwords, payment information, health information, or other sensitive details in chat.

You can choose local search instead. Local search does not send chat messages to an AI service; the app may still download events, images, maps, and other public resources. Change your choice under AI privacy settings on the dashboard. Starting a new conversation resets the app's conversation connection; it does not delete a conversation already held by a provider.

Other online services

The website is hosted using Amazon S3 and CloudFront. Hosting, security, and service providers may process request information to deliver and protect the service. The guide retrieves public events from City of Miami Beach services and displays listing images from content providers. Maps use OpenStreetMap tiles. Opening an external website, booking offer, native map, email, or sharing destination makes that service responsible for the information you share with it. We do not include advertising tracking or analytics SDKs in the current app.

Retention, deletion, and choices

Local saved data remains until you remove it, clear the app/browser's storage, or remove the app; device backups may be separate. Clear an individual saved place or journal entry through its app controls. Website users can clear site data through their browser. You can revoke location and camera permissions in system settings. Deleting local data does not remove provider-held chat records. For privacy questions or a request concerning cloud chat data, contact info@exploremiamibeach.com with the approximate chat date and details needed to identify the conversation. Do not include sensitive information unnecessarily. We will review requests and work with the relevant service provider; its retention requirements may affect what can be deleted.

Children and updates

The app is a general travel guide and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through cloud chat, contact us. We update this policy when the app's information practices change.
